Job Description

Overview

As an Electronics Research Engineer at GE Vernova, you will work on the development of innovative power electronics concepts as part of the R&D organization. Your role will involve modeling and simulation of power electronics systems, as well as design, testing, and characterization of power converters and devices for applications in power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop new power technologies and capabilities for next-generation products
  • Perform power electronics system modeling and simulation
  • Design and test power converters and devices
  • Conduct EMI filter design for converter applications
  • Prepare written reports and presentations to communicate results
  • Contribute to proposal efforts for GE businesses and government agencies
  • Stay updated with the latest technological developments in the industry

Required skills

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field, or Master's with 2+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in power electronics research
  • Experience in modeling and designing power electronic circuits
  • Experience in developing and testing power converters and devices
  • Familiarity with DC grid concepts and energy storage
  • Knowledge of microgrids and integration of renewables
