Job Description

Overview

The Electronics Design Lead at Clarios is a technical lead for electronics projects, functioning as a subject matter expert. This role involves significant responsibility in advancing the department's technical capabilities and aligning them with business objectives through collaboration with management and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary electronics interface in customer specification negotiations
  • Instruct team on industry standards and internal design guidelines
  • Lead requirements analysis and validation planning activities for automotive safety processes
  • Direct design verification activities including analysis, simulation, and testing
  • Lead design direction for core and customer electronic circuit designs
  • Generate technical requirements for electrical architecture and designs
  • Create hardware/software interface specifications and electronic test software requirements
  • Optimize electrical system design for cost, performance, and efficiency
  • Review electrical design analyses and test results
  • Define test setups, plans, and execute tests for circuits and components
  • Direct suppliers to meet specifications and costs
  • Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability
  • Lead electronic project teams in accordance with process requirements and timing plans

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 12 years of professional engineering experience
  • OE Automotive/Tier 1 embedded electronics design experience
  • Full lifecycle automotive electronics experience
  • Expertise in electronic design tools including schematic capture and simulation
  • Expertise in electronic circuit debug and test
  • Proficiency with electrical engineering equipment like power supplies and oscilloscopes
  • Expert knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet development tools
  • Experience with Li-Ion battery management (preferred)
