Job Description

Overview

Cargill is looking for an Electronic Technician I B to join their protein and salt business in Schuyler, Nebraska. This full-time role involves managing electronic and electromechanical workflows, developing maintenance procedures, and ensuring safety compliance within the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage workforce through work assignments, communication, and development
  • Manage workflows associated with electronics and electromechanical areas
  • Develop preventative maintenance procedures for electronic equipment
  • Ensure safety culture through training and observations
  • Serve as liaison to contractors and utilities for projects and work orders
  • Develop and update PLC and HMI programs as needed
  • Ensure compliance of measuring devices
  • Manage department budget, including labor and operating expenses

Required skills

  • 2-year degree or 3 years of experience in electrical or electromechanical technologies
  • Competency in basic electrical 24 and 120 volt AC and DC circuits
  • Basic knowledge of Windows XP/7 operating systems
  • Proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC Programming and troubleshooting
  • Experience with RsLogix 500/Control Logix 5000 and Factory Talk View
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Experience in industrial process controls and networking
