Overview

Delectus LLC is seeking a skilled Electronic Technician to join their team in Santa Maria, California. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and electrical systems, with a focus on PLC logic analysis and preventive maintenance practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production machinery by analyzing PLC logic states
  • Make recommendations for rewriting or editing PLC programs
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical controls, motors, relays, and automation components
  • Utilize drawings and technical descriptions to ensure equipment functionality
  • Set up and utilize general test equipment for evaluating electrical circuits
  • Plan, install, modify, and troubleshoot electrical circuits according to codes
  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on production assets
  • Utilize CMMS system to track and document maintenance activities
  • Promote and abide by safety standards and protocols
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Maintain accurate records and documents related to work performed

Required skills

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting production machinery and electrical systems
  • Strong knowledge of PLC logic analysis and programming
  • Familiarity with electrical controls and automation components
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and descriptions
  • Experience with general test equipment for electrical circuits
  • Knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
