Job Description

Overview

The Electronic Technician at Humboldt Scientific Inc. will work closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve product issues related to electronics and testing equipment. This role requires a strong ability to perform component-level repairs and conduct failure analysis using schematics and various electronic tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform failure analysis and fault isolation to the component level
  • Repair and update production assemblies as needed
  • Assist in the deployment of test equipment, fixtures, and systems into production
  • Test and troubleshoot using schematics and written instructions
  • Perform component level repairs for SMT and Through Hole technologies
  • Develop, write, peer review, and update test procedures

Required skills

  • Electronics training or experience equivalent to two years technical trade school or military technical school
  • 2+ years of direct manufacturing support experience
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Root cause analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and JIRA
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, and hand tools
