Overview

JTI Liggett is seeking an Electronic Technician to contribute to high-speed manufacturing excellence within the tobacco industry. This role involves maintaining and optimizing manufacturing equipment, ensuring efficient operations and addressing technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and enhance electronic components and systems on high-speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electronic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Convert systems from 480V AC to 24V DC to support operational needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams for innovative upgrades.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance routines to ensure peak performance.
  • Document maintenance activities in tracking systems (CMMS).

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years or more of experience as an Electronic Technician in high-speed manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical and electronic schematics and technical manuals.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
