Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Electro-Optical Technician Level B for their afternoon shift in Waterdown, Ontario. The role involves analyzing and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics, executing the assembly of complex electro-mechanical systems, and ensuring optimal system performance through troubleshooting and testing procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Execute the assembly of complex electro-mechanical assemblies with attention to detail.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components.
  • Investigate and resolve assembly level defects, collaborating with senior technicians and engineers.
  • Conduct environmental testing and analyze performance data.
  • Manage multiple priorities to meet project timelines and production goals.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with engineering and production teams.
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly, maintenance, and testing efforts.
  • Perform diagnostic testing and electro-mechanical repairs on customer-owned equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in assembly processes.

Required skills

  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience in assembling, configuring, and testing complex electromechanical systems.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving electrical and mechanical issues.
