Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician B for their afternoon shift in Waterdown, Ontario. The role involves analyzing, assembling, and testing complex electro-mechanical systems while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and high-quality standards. Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics for assembly and testing procedures.
  • Execute assembly of complex electro-mechanical assemblies with attention to detail.
  • Handle and apply chemicals, primers, and sealants in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components for optimal performance.
  • Investigate and resolve assembly level defects through collaboration with senior technicians and engineers.
  • Conduct environmental screening and performance testing using thermal chambers and vibration tables.
  • Manage multiple priorities to meet project timelines and production goals.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with engineers and production teams.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of assembly, maintenance, test results, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices.

Required skills

  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience in assembling, configuring, and testing complex electromechanical systems
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues
  • Ability to load, configure, and verify software on integrated hardware systems
  • Proficiency in operating large test equipment
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
  • Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset
  • High attention to detail and ability to learn new tasks
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in the Mechanical and/or Electro-mechanical field
  • Community College diploma in Mechanical Technician/Technology or equivalent
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO9000, AS9100 environments
