Job Description

Overview

TruRoots is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to ensure the operation of machinery and support equipment through preventative maintenance. This role offers a stable work environment with no weekend shifts, contributing to the company's growth and safety culture for over 40 years.

Key responsibilities

  • Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices
  • Perform basic electrical duties including motor and switch replacement
  • Visually inspect equipment and repair defects
  • Set up and operate drill press, grinder, mill, lathe, and other shop tools
  • Support daily operations, changeovers, and troubleshooting
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair production and utilities equipment
  • Perform welding repairs and fabrication on parts
  • Disassemble, repair, or rebuild machinery components
  • Conduct start-up, shutdown, and maintenance on boilers and compressors

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of experience in repair and maintenance of industrial equipment
  • Basic math skills for measuring materials
  • Ability to read drawings and diagrams
  • Welding and metal fabrication skills
  • Electrical and PLC Controls troubleshooting
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
  • Experience in varying temperatures and conditions
