Job Description

Overview

Cargill is seeking an Electro Mechanic in Lévis, Quebec, to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues on computer-controlled systems. The role involves using maintenance and reliability practices to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Modify programming according to general directives as needed.
  • Participate in the design and installation of new or upgraded equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation failures.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve plant asset reliability.
  • Perform periodic inspections and maintenance of processing equipment and utility systems.
  • Carry out industrial electrical preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance.
  • Install and test low and high voltage systems (up to 600V).
  • Document completed work and observed conditions using maintenance software.
  • Operate mobile equipment as necessary.

Required skills

  • Experience in electrical maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Understanding of reliability engineering and maintenance processes.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and working in confined spaces.
  • Basic computer software knowledge.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • At least two years of related work experience.
