Overview

Schneider Packaging Equipment is seeking an Electrician to join their team in Brewerton, New York. This non-exempt role involves planning and performing electrical assembly operations based on schematics and specifications, contributing to the production of automation solutions for various industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and perform electrical assembly functions using hand tools and precision instruments
  • Document changes to controls drawings/schematics
  • Perform I/O inspection functions following company policies
  • Collaborate with assembly and controls personnel to troubleshoot equipment
  • Complete electronic labor reporting
  • Assist other electricians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as required by management
  • Potential travel with equipment for installation

Required skills

  • 3-5 years experience in custom machine-building manufacturing
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A.A.S. in electronics or electrical technology or advanced training in electrical technology
  • Ability to read schematics, AutoCAD Electrical preferred
  • Familiarity with NEC/NFPA70E
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to perform I/O inspections
