Job Description

Overview

The Electrician at L.E. Cox Medical Centers is responsible for providing electrical services in compliance with various standards while focusing on the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of electrical systems. This role requires timely responses to work requests and the ability to assist Maintenance Mechanics as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems and equipment
  • Identify repair and replacement needs for electrical systems
  • Respond to work requests timely and professionally
  • Assist other Maintenance Mechanics in projects
  • Ensure tools and materials are available at the job site
  • Maintain compliance with City and County regulations

Required skills

  • Journeyman Electrician certification within 2 years of hire
  • 3 years related experience
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Blueprint analysis and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of electrical system components
  • Active Driver's License
  • STI Fire Stop Certified within 1 year of hire (provided by Cox yearly if not already certified)
  • Preferred: Master Electrician certification
  • Preferred: Forklift operation
