Overview

Stimson Lumber Company is looking for a team-oriented Oregon Licensed Electrician in Tillamook, who possesses strong problem-solving abilities. The role focuses on providing high-quality electrical maintenance and ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical systems within the plant, all while working within a collaborative environment that values new ideas and professional development.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide preventive and predictive maintenance of the electrical distribution system
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, specifications, codes, and ordinances
  • Continuously evaluate and analyze electrical quality and safety processes
  • Proactively communicate with departments and outside vendors
  • Safely install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems
  • Identify new approaches or best-known methods for continuous improvement
  • Utilize PLC knowledge and troubleshooting skills in electrical system design and repair

Required skills

  • Oregon Electrician License or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 5 years of electrician maintenance experience
  • Experience with electrical maintenance of MCCs, VFDs, conveying and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and ordinances
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a self-motivated attitude
  • Experience with preventive maintenance software preferred
  • Knowledge of PLCs and troubleshooting skills are a plus

  • Starting pay of $42.00 to $55.00 per hour, with potential for higher pay for knowledgeable candidates
  • Swing shift position with a $1.50 per hour shift differential
