Job Description

Overview

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support their York, Nebraska production location. This role involves using electrical and mechanical skills for installations and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations of equipment in the plant.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with managing plant electrical systems
  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, security, and communications equipment
  • Lead safety culture initiatives among team members
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Estimate labor and equipment costs and maintain maintenance records
  • Work on various electrical equipment ranging from 12V to 480V
  • Interpret electric code applications
  • Undertake various other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous electrical experience with voltages from 24V to 480V 3 phase
  • Physical ability to perform job tasks including climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Valid US driver's license
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of control systems and electrical panels
  • Experience reading and comprehending blueprints
  • Ability to work rotating days and overtime as needed
  • Electrical journeyman license (preferred)
  • Three years of related PLC Automation experience (preferred)
  • HMI graphical interface programming experience (preferred)
  • Ladder logic programming experience (preferred)
