Job Description

Overview

The Electrical Lead at TeamGOV, INC. is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and modernization of electrical systems at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Edison Environmental Center. This role requires technical expertise in various electrical infrastructures and plays a critical role in ensuring reliable facility operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead electrical operations and maintenance for the facility's secondary power system.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment including UPS systems and emergency generators.
  • Conduct infrared thermography inspections and other diagnostic testing.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and modernize various lighting and electrical systems.
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Coordinate electrical shutdowns and repairs with site leadership.

Required skills

  • Five years as a licensed electrician in New Jersey
  • Experience with secondary power operations and electrical system maintenance
  • Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and NFPA 70E
  • Experience managing maintenance and repairs of electrical systems
  • Demonstrated experience with UPS and emergency generator systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical electrical drawings
  • Experience with infrared thermography and CMMS platforms
