Overview

Packaging Corporation of America is looking for an Electrical Supervisor to manage electrical maintenance at their Valdosta, GA Paper Mill. The role involves overseeing a team of union electricians, planning and executing maintenance projects, and improving the reliability of electrical equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and complete mill electrical maintenance
  • Manage a group of hourly union journeyman electricians
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Provide technical direction and support to maintenance and operating personnel
  • Work with mechanical and engineering teams on maintenance outages
  • Manage equipment tracking and rebuild programs
  • Utilize predictive maintenance programs to address equipment issues
  • Assist with project planning and execution for maintenance replacements

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance Supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry preferred
