Job Description

Overview

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor for their Timberstrand manufacturing plant in Kenora, Ontario. This role involves leading a team of Electricians and Process Control Technicians while ensuring safety, quality, and maintenance of all equipment in a 24/7 operational environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of all associates and contractors by proactively addressing safety concerns
  • Lead and develop the Electrical team, facilitating effective communication across shifts
  • Participate in the planning and scheduling of Electrical work to minimize production impact
  • Utilize troubleshooting methods to achieve production volume and quality goals
  • Maximize team technical skills through effective training resources
  • Manage maintenance requests using computer-based programs
  • Resolve associate and contractor issues while ensuring adherence to site policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Trades certification or Post-secondary diploma in technology or engineering
  • Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a leadership role and using CMMS (SAP)
  • Experience with process control (PLC) is an advantage
  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project
