Job Description

Overview

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor for its Timberstrand manufacturing plant in Brampton, Ontario. In this role, you will oversee the daily activities of a team focused on safety, quality, and maintenance, ensuring that production goals are met in a 24/7 operational environment. The position emphasizes team leadership, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving to sustain operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and lead daily activities of Electricians and Process Control Technicians.
  • Ensure safety of all associates and contractors by addressing safety issues.
  • Participate in planning and scheduling of electrical work to minimize impact on production.
  • Utilize troubleshooting methods to maximize uptime and achieve production goals.
  • Manage maintenance requests and inventory using computer-based programs.
  • Provide effective leadership and support to the Electrical team.
  • Facilitate effective communication across shifts and with production teams.

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal, electronic).
  • Trades certification or Post-secondary diploma in technology or engineering.
  • Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CMMS (SAP) and process control (PLC) preferred.
  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
