Job Description

Overview

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to join their Timberstrand manufacturing plant in Kenora, Ontario. This role includes leading a team of Electricians and Process Control Technicians while ensuring safety, quality, and maintenance objectives are met in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and lead daily activities of the electrical team
  • Ensure safety of all associates and contractors
  • Develop effective communication across shifts and with production teams
  • Participate in planning and scheduling electrical work
  • Utilize troubleshooting methods to achieve production goals
  • Maximize team technical skills through training resources
  • Manage maintenance requests and resources using computer-based programs
  • Resolve associate and contractor issues fairly and consistently

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Trades certification or post-secondary diploma in technology or engineering
  • Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CMMS (SAP) preferred
  • Knowledge of process control (PLC) is advantageous
  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project
