Overview

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor for their Timberstrand manufacturing plant in Garden River, Ontario. This permanent position offers an opportunity to lead a team in a 24/7 operations environment focused on maintaining safety, quality, and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and lead daily activities of Electricians and Process Control Technicians
  • Ensure safety of all associates and contractors by identifying safety issues
  • Lead team communication across shifts and with production teams
  • Participate in planning and scheduling Electrical work
  • Utilize troubleshooting methods to maintain uptime and production goals
  • Manage maintenance inventory and resources using computer-based programs
  • Resolve associate and contractor issues while fostering teamwork

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Trades certification or Post-secondary diploma in technology or engineering
  • Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CMMS (SAP) and process control (PLC) preferred
  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project
