Job Description

Overview

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to join their Timberstrand manufacturing plant in Ashville, Manitoba. This permanent position involves leading a team of Electricians and Process Control Technicians to ensure safety, quality, and efficient operations in a non-union, 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and plan daily activities of the Electrical team to meet plant objectives
  • Ensure safety of associates and contractors by proactively addressing safety issues
  • Develop effective communication across shifts and with production teams
  • Participate in planning and scheduling of Electrical work to minimize production impact
  • Utilize troubleshooting methods to achieve production volume and quality goals
  • Manage maintenance requests and inventory using computer-based programs
  • Build teamwork and address associate and contractor issues fairly

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Trades certification or post-secondary diploma in technology or engineering
  • Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CMMS (SAP) and process control (PLC)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project
  • Ability to coach and develop team members
