We value ability, work ethic, initiative, and a willingness to learn-not just previous job titles.Key ResponsibilitiesReview construction drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and bid documents.Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, permits, and other project-related expenses.Perform quantity takeoffs for commercial electrical systems.Identify and pursue new estimating and business development opportunities.Solicit, review, and compare pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.Develop competitive bid proposals that support company growth and profitability.Identify project risks, exclusions, clarifications, and value-engineering opportunities.Attend pre-bid meetings, jobsite walks, scope reviews, and customer meetings as needed.Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, property owners, vendors, and industry partners.Follow up on submitted proposals and assist with negotiations and project awards.Coordinate with management, project managers, field personnel, vendors, and customers.Maintain organized estimating files, bid records, cost databases, and historical pricing information.Support the transition of awarded projects from estimating to project management and field operations.Monitor material pricing, labor rates, electrical codes, and commercial construction trends.Help develop estimating systems, procedures, and strategies that support long-term company growth.Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and project locations.Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:Has a growth mindset and is motivated to build a long-term career.Thinks like an owner and takes personal responsibility for results.Is driven by performance, professional advancement, and uncapped earning potential.Is proactive in developing relationships and identifying new business opportunities.Wants to help build and expand a commercial electrical operation.Thrives in a fast-paced, competitive, and results-oriented environment.Understands the importance of winning work while protecting project profitability.Is committed to continuous learning and professional improvement.Communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, and works well with others.Wants the opportunity to advance into senior estimating, management, or leadership roles.QualificationsStrong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, installation methods, and labor requirements.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, schedules, and construction documents.Ability to perform electrical takeoffs and prepare complete project estimates.Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable construction standards.Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software such as Accubid, ConEst, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is preferred but not required.Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet strict bid deadlines.Strong att
