Overview

Vitis Energy, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the planning, design, and implementation of electrical systems for energy projects, specifically in the solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction and energy infrastructure and will be responsible for technical oversight, project scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight for energy projects from feasibility studies to commissioning
  • Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering design and project execution
  • Support technical due diligence on mid- to late-stage acquisitions
  • Coordinate interconnection applications and liaise with utilities on technical requirements
  • Review AutoCAD renderings and electrical layouts for accuracy
  • Resolve technical issues in the field, coordinating with contractors and vendors
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure compliance with technical plans
  • Provide progress reporting to stakeholders and support timely inspections

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 5 years of experience in renewable energy, especially solar and battery storage systems
  • Strong experience with interconnection applications and electrical design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and its applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight schedules
