Overview

Vitis Energy, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the planning, design, and implementation of electrical systems for energy projects, particularly in solar and battery energy storage. The ideal candidate will provide technical oversight, manage project schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with electrical codes while working collaboratively across various teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight for all phases of energy projects including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering design and project execution.
  • Support technical due diligence efforts on mid- to late-stage acquisitions.
  • Coordinate interconnection applications and liaise with utilities.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications for accuracy.
  • Recommend design optimizations based on constructability and cost-efficiency.
  • Resolve technical issues in the field and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
  • Monitor project timelines and flag deviations from technical plans or scope.
  • Provide progress reporting to stakeholders and support timely inspections and commissioning.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry
  • Expertise in solar and battery storage systems
  • Strong experience with interconnection applications and electrical design concepts
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and construction project management software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Collaboration and problem-solving skills
