Overview

Trenton Systems is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead their PCBA design and manufacturing initiatives. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of PCBAs and ensuring high quality and cost-effectiveness in project delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and PCB designers
  • Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and prioritization
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams
  • Oversee schematic capture and PCB layout for complex assemblies
  • Ensure designs meet electrical, thermal, and mechanical requirements
  • Drive design reviews and enforce industry best practices
  • Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) initiatives
  • Interface with manufacturers and suppliers for quality assurance
  • Resolve production issues and implement continuous improvements
  • Develop and maintain design guidelines and documentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for issues

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in PCBA design and manufacturing
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in ECAD tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, Mentor)
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, power delivery, and EMI/EMC
  • Experience with high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
