Overview

The Electrical Engineering Frontline Manager at L3Harris Technologies is responsible for supervising and leading a team of Electrical Engineers. This role involves supporting the planning, research & development, and execution of engineering tasks for various projects, with a focus on the design and integration of electronics equipment for Department of Defense applications. The position requires strong technical and leadership skills, along with proactive collaboration with business leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of Electrical Engineers
  • Support planning, research & development, and execution of engineering tasks
  • Manage technical scope and deliver to technical, cost, and schedule objectives
  • Provide technical direction and oversight on engineering and program teams
  • Guide the development and delivery of system hardware and electronic components
  • Plan and implement strategies for team growth and knowledge enrichment
  • Prepare performance assessments and monitor individual performance
  • Conduct briefings with senior leaders and communicate important matters

Required skills

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering development
  • Proficient in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Control Account Management
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership and management experience
  • Strong technical and engineering problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in technical writing and technical presentations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance
