Overview

Position OverviewWe are in search of a highly experienced Electrical Engineering Department Manager to lead and inspire our electrical engineering team. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader who excels in a consulting environment, is adept at fostering client relationships, and is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the principal authority for industrial electrical engineering projects.Oversee all electrical design phases from initial concept through to construction completion.Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers, encouraging professional development.Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage interactions with clients and stakeholders.Supervise the creation of comprehensive electrical design documents, including control schematics, power/conduit plans, and equipment specifications for various voltage levels and systems.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory codes such as NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and IEC.Drive business growth by nurturing client relationships and acquiring new projects.Participate in industry events and client meetings as a knowledgeable technical advisor.Support the recruitment and retention of top engineering talent.Conduct field assessments and provide construction support as required.Champion process enhancements and standardize design tools and practices.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.At least 15 years of progressive experience in industrial electrical design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.Active Professional Engineering (PE) License is mandatory.Proven track record in team leadership, mentorship, and client relationship management.Expertise in industries such as power, energy, biofuels, oil & gas, pulp & paper, or similar process sectors.Desired proficiency in software tools like ETAP, AutoCAD, and NavisWorks (BIM 360).Strong skills in project management, including budgeting and scheduling.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.An entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growth and a client-oriented approach.Benefits100% Employee-Owned (ESOP)Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous paid time off and holidays401(k) retirement plan alongside ESOPOpportunities for professional developmentFlexible work environment promoting work-life balance
