Job Description

Overview

The individual in this role is responsible for the development and design of aftermarket electronics, specifically focusing on OE Motor Vehicle electronics such as Voltage Regulators, Mass Air Flow, Manifold Air Pressure, Ignition Modules, etc. This role also involves the development and design of Test Equipment to support and test the developed product lines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review the Original Equipment (OE) product and develop product specifications. Evaluate the cost requirements and design electronic circuits to meet the OE specifications. Collaborate with the Mechanical and process teams to finalize the design, ensuring it meets fit, form, and function as per OEM specifications and production requirements. Conduct evaluation and validation of the final product. Create Product Specification documents for publication on the website. Review and validate electronic components, replacing End of Life components used in current electronic circuits. Develop and design test equipment for product testing. Specify laboratory test equipment required for product development and testing. Provide technical support for product lines. Promote a collaborative work environment, encouraging effective communication and cross-training initiatives to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development. Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required) Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering field including electronic circuit design Circuit board layout/design is a plus Thorough knowledge of basic electronic lab equipment including meters, power supply, oscilloscope, function generator Microprocessor and Analog circuit design and analysis Embedded Programming (Assembly and C) and debugging of Microprocessor based designs. Real time control. Orcad or similar Schematic and board layout program experience AutoCAD/Draftsight and Solidworks cad program experience is a plus Experience with automotive electrical systems is plus Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities. Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction. Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. Employment Type: Full Time
