Job Description

Overview

The Electrical Engineering role at WAI Global involves the development and design of aftermarket electronics for OE Motor Vehicle components, including Voltage Regulators and Ignition Modules. The position also entails creating and designing test equipment to support these product lines, requiring collaboration with various teams and strong problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Review OE product and develop product specifications
  • Evaluate cost requirements and design electronic circuits
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and process teams on design finalization
  • Conduct evaluation and validation of final products
  • Create Product Specification documents
  • Review and validate electronic components, replacing End of Life components
  • Develop and design test equipment for product testing
  • Specify laboratory test equipment for development and testing
  • Provide technical support for product lines
  • Promote a collaborative work environment and effective communication

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
  • Electronic circuit design and circuit board layout/design
  • Thorough knowledge of electronic lab equipment (meters, power supply, oscilloscope, function generator)
  • Microprocessor and Analog circuit design and analysis
  • Embedded Programming (Assembly and C)
  • Real time control
  • Experience with Orcad or similar schematic and board layout programs
  • AutoCAD/Draftsight and Solidworks CAD program experience
  • Experience with automotive electrical systems
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
