Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to work onsite in Tucson, Arizona, focusing on developing FPGA and hardware designs for advanced systems such as electronic warfare and radar. The role requires a strong background in various electrical engineering areas and involves troubleshooting, circuit analysis, and collaboration with multi-discipline groups.

Key responsibilities

  • Design RF, digital, power, and analog circuits
  • Perform VHDL design integration and testing of electronic hardware
  • Operate and automate test equipment in a lab environment
  • Analyze, model, and simulate electronic designs
  • Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels
  • Resolve issues on production lines and in testing, including with suppliers
  • Select components for electronic designs
  • Provide layout and routing support of printed circuit boards
  • Support factory, field, production, and supplier operations domestically and internationally

Required skills

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related STEM field
  • Experience in RF, microwave, analog, digital electronics, mixed signal, circuit design, or power electronics
  • Knowledge of VHDL and FPGA
  • Experience with digital signal processing or PCB design
  • Lab experience with hardware/software integration and test equipment
  • Technical knowledge of electronic components and their applications
  • Knowledge of electro-optical subsystems
  • Experience with GPU application development using CUDA or OpenCL
  • Experience in root-cause corrective action investigations and FRACAS processes
