Proven experience delivering electrical designs for industrial, higher education, healthcare, and/or commercial projects. Hands-on experience performing power system studies using SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software. Experience applying NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and other applicable electrical and energy codes in design and documentation. Experience coordinating with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout all project phasesResponsibilities of the Electrical Engineer:Both Austin & Dallas offices are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 7 to 12 years of consulting engineering experience who is passionate about delivering innovative design solutions and excited to grow with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of challenging projects, support our electrical engineering group, and partner with other disciplines across the firm.Requirements of the Electrical Engineer:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited universityMinimum of 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experienceTexas Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (preferred)Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required)Knowledge of local codes and standards (preferred)Experience with local contractors, architects, and construction practices (preferred)Strong knowledge of electrical and lighting system design for diverse building typesExperience with medium-voltage distribution, generation, and protection systems (preferred)Must have SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software experience.The focus of the experience must be in the power industry associated with electrical engineering and design of Industrial, higher education, healthcare, and/or commercial projects.Must be familiar with electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IEEE, IESNA, IECC, etc.)Experience with lighting design (preferred)Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related design software (preferred)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively on interdisciplinary teamsDesire and capability to lead projects and coordinate across multiple disciplinesAdditional Expectations:Prepare electrical and lighting plans, specifications, and technical reportsSupport business development and marketing initiatives as neededContribute to team mentorship, knowledge sharing, and firm-wide growthOther Key Requirements:Must be able to work in the office four (4) days a weekWillingness to travel for occasional site visitsNo sponsorships or visa holders.
