Overview

Butterball is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support their production facilities in Raeford, North Carolina. The role involves analyzing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, designing improvements to control systems, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while working in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems in production equipment
  • Design and implement improvements to electrical control systems
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Program and configure Allen Bradley hardware and software
  • Lead technical projects and installations of new equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on compliance and standards
  • Provide technical training to maintenance staff and production operators
  • Maintain documentation on electrical systems and modifications

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or related field
  • Electrical troubleshooting and system optimization
  • PLC programming and maintenance
  • Understanding of control and line voltage
  • Familiarity with SPC, HACCP, GMP'S, SSOP'S and USDA regulations
  • Computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to read and write in English
