Overview

PacifiCorp is seeking an Electrical Engineer for their Dave Johnston Power Plant in Glenrock, Wyoming. The role involves leading and developing engineering solutions for industrial electrical systems while ensuring a commitment to customer service excellence and environmental sustainability.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead design, installation, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems
  • Perform engineering functions related to planning, design, licensing, construction, and operation of the generation facility
  • Oversee equipment testing, troubleshooting, site inspections, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with and mentor other engineers and technicians
  • Manage projects, timelines, and budgets for capital and operational expenditures
  • Provide rotational on-call support

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum five years of experience in industrial power systems or electric utility power systems
  • Knowledge of principles in engineering specialty
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Understanding of company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
  • Knowledge of National Electric Codes
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with personal computers and automated tools
  • DCS and PLC skills
  • SAP experience
  • PE license (preferred)
  • Advanced power systems or machine theory knowledge
  • Regulatory compliance experience
