Job Description

Overview

PacifiCorp is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support and lead engineering solutions to maintain and improve the critical assets of the Dave Johnston Power Plant in Glenrock, Wyoming. The role involves hands-on collaboration with talented engineering, operations, and maintenance personnel, while advancing a culture of customer service excellence and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead design, installation, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems
  • Perform engineering functions associated with planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of generation facilities
  • Oversee equipment testing, troubleshooting, site inspections, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with and mentor other engineers and technicians
  • Manage projects, timelines, and budgets for capital and operations expenditures
  • Provide rotational on-call support

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum of five years experience in industrial power systems or electric utility power systems
  • Knowledge and application of engineering principles
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Understanding of business policies, procedures, and practices
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Proficient with personal computers and automated tools
  • Skills in DCS and PLC systems
  • SAP experience and PE license preferred
