Overview

Carter Machinery is seeking an Electric Power Generation (EPG) Rental Technician in Clear Brook, Virginia. This role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing EPG rental equipment, including power and temperature control systems, at both company and customer facilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Service, diagnose, and repair EPG rental equipment
  • Perform mechanical repairs on electrical generator systems
  • Work independently in the field to support PSD rental equipment
  • Provide after-hours emergency service requests as needed
  • Promote a positive customer experience
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver items up to 70 pounds

Required skills

  • Experience with UPS and paralleling systems
  • Knowledge of Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Familiarity with electronic software
