Overview

Carter Machinery is seeking an Electric Power Generation (EPG) Rental Technician in Mechanicsville, Virginia. The role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing rental equipment related to power, temperature control, air, and pumps, both in-house and at customer facilities, focusing on preventative maintenance and product improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Service, diagnose, and repair EPG rental equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and product improvement plans.
  • Support PSD rental equipment independently in the field.
  • Troubleshoot engine failures and perform mechanical repairs.
  • Provide after-hours emergency service support for customers.
  • Promote positive customer experiences.

Required skills

  • Experience with Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work well in a team.
  • Familiarity with electronic software applications.
  • Valid driver's license with excellent driving record.
