Overview

Our Editorial department is seeking a three-month intern to help manage our growing list of manga, manhwa, and graphic novels. The position is part-time (28 hours per week) and offers an hourly wage. Japanese language skills are a must. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Enter Editorial and Copyediting changes into InDesign files Download/upload data and sort them accordingly Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to: photocopying, scanning, maintaining library, sorting mail, filing, directing/responding to phone calls, etc. Write and correct back cover and catalog copy Contribute to Editorial passes on pending manuscripts Traffic editorial projects through Production and Copyediting Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Passion and interest in manga, manhwa, and graphic novels required Japanese language proficiency required Solid computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Adobe Suite (particularly InDesign) strongly preferred Excellent time management and organizational skills Keen eye for detail with a strong desire to learn and improve An ability to attend to details and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Excellent writing ability with a polished ear for dialogue Bachelor's degree in English preferred Polished communication and interpersonal skills To apply, please be sure to include a cover letter in addition to your resume.
