Overview

US Tech Solutions, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Editorial Assistant to support its publishing group, which creates high-quality books and media for beloved brands such as Barbie and Fisher-Price. The role involves providing both administrative and creative support to the Editorial team, as well as managing multiple projects across various book formats.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing select books in various production stages
  • Coordinate and track routing materials for approval and feedback
  • Research competitive publishing and run sales reports
  • Maintain editorial schedules to ensure deadlines are met
  • Prepare materials for meetings, including agendas and presentation decks
  • Liaise with licensors, authors, illustrators, and freelancers
  • Manage administrative tasks such as organizing files and updating project databases
  • Maintain title information including metadata and contract requests

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Publishing or a related field
  • 0-1 year experience in children's publishing
  • Strong interest in branded/licensed content and storytelling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Familiarity with Smartsheets and Workfront is a plus
