Job Description

Overview

Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessionals at Connected Roots Care Center support students with various needs by providing academic and behavioral assistance in the classroom. The role is full-time, located at either the Northwest or Southwest Centers, and offers a schedule free from nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide academic and behavioral support to students in the classroom
  • Assist with personal care and daily activities of young clients
  • Complete required training and continuing education units (CEUs)
  • Adhere to work schedules and policies
  • Engage with parents and team members with patience and flexibility

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a childcare program or public school system (preferred)
  • Understanding of child development and behavioral support
  • Ability to lift and care for clients
  • Completion of Personal Care Aide training
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports and Crisis Intervention
