Overview

The Radiation Therapist at OhioHealth's Dublin Methodist Hospital is responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This role involves preparing patients, maintaining thorough documentation, and ensuring a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in all procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Administers radiation therapy treatments daily
  • Maintains daily records of treatment dosages and other necessary documentation
  • Performs simulations and dose calculations
  • May be on-call for weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
  • Manages patient schedules and communicates with families and hospital staff
  • Monitors patient condition and progress daily
  • Assists in Brachytherapy procedures and oversees clinical activities of students
  • Participates in Department Clinical QA activities and meetings

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
  • Knowledge of Radiation Therapy and Patient Care
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Medical Documentation and Quality Assurance
