Overview

Micron Technology is looking for a Dry Mechanical Development Engineer to lead and coordinate the development of dry mechanical systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on ensuring that external engineering work meets Micron's technical, performance, and regulatory requirements while collaborating on design, construction, and commissioning activities across a global manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third party engineering firms developing dry mechanical systems.
  • Review P&IDs, system layouts, equipment specifications, and related documentation.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of system performance including flow, pressure, and thermal efficiency.
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments to identify potential issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors for system integration.
  • Support commissioning, equipment validation, and system startup activities.
  • Ensure systems comply with safety, environmental, and mechanical codes.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in dry mechanical engineering.
  • Experience coordinating third party HVAC, clean room, or process exhaust designs.
  • Expertise in dry mechanical system development for high tech or industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of AHRI, SMACNA, IMC, and ASHRAE standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.
  • Experience with PLC or SCADA control systems.
  • Familiarity with BIM tools and workflows.
