Overview

CAN Community Health is looking for a Driver for their Medical Mobile Unit to support healthcare delivery to underserved communities. This part-time position involves transporting the mobile clinic safely to designated locations and assisting with community outreach efforts focused on individuals impacted by HIV, Hepatitis C, and other infectious diseases.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate and drive the medical mobile unit to scheduled locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior
  • Monitor and report maintenance needs and mechanical issues
  • Ensure compliance with traffic laws and organizational safety protocols
  • Represent the organization professionally in the community

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a commercial or similar vehicle
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL - Class B) or appropriate state license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle with valid insurance
