Overview

R&R Human Resources Solutions is looking for a Driver to deliver food and paper products in a safe and timely manner to customers in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area. The role includes vehicle inspections, maintaining a safe driving record, and completing necessary paperwork with customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform inspection of vehicle prior to departure
  • Ensure all required equipment and documents are in the vehicle
  • Check and document fuel levels and refuel as necessary
  • Comply with traffic laws and understand road conditions
  • Deliver and unload items at customer sites
  • Complete necessary paperwork with customers
  • Collect payments as instructed
  • Maintain assigned equipment and report incidents
  • Participate in required safety training and meetings
  • Evaluate job conditions and address safety hazards

Required skills

  • Commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local traffic laws
  • Familiarity with the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Time management and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to lift/move up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to work independently under pressure
