Job Description

Overview

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at Mclane Company, you will play a critical role in transporting goods for America's leading brands. This position emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork, ensuring that you get home on weekends while contributing to the company's longstanding success in the distribution industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
  • Safely hook tractor to a loaded trailer and deliver to affiliated warehouses
  • Assist with loading and sorting of pre-palletized products
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination while adhering to commercial driving regulations
  • Maintain driver log and document delivery receipts and product temperatures
  • Unload trailer and deliver products into customer premises
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and commercial driving
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related tasks
  • Team driving experience
