Job Description

Overview

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at McLane Company, Inc., you will be responsible for safely transporting goods from the Sidney, OH warehouse to affiliated locations while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. This role offers a supportive work environment with a focus on safety and reliability, allowing drivers to build long-lasting careers.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
  • Safely hook assigned tractor to a loaded trailer and deliver to affiliated warehouses
  • Assist with loading and sorting of pre-palletized product
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination while complying with commercial driving regulations
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations
  • Unload trailer and deliver product into customer premises
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related tasks
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance and safety compliance
  • Knowledge of route navigation and delivery logistics
  • Customer service skills
