Overview

The DOT Safety Compliance Associate at Wheaton Van Lines Inc. is responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and corporate policies. This role involves auditing driver documentation, providing training on regulations and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs), and conducting portions of driver orientation related to safety policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policy.
  • Audit required documentation submitted by drivers.
  • Train drivers on proper completion of documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
  • Review driver logs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Confirm inspection documentation and prepare correspondence.
  • Maintain DOT required roadside inspection files.
  • Identify and challenge roadside violations.
  • Assist in training management for new compliance auditors.
