Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Quality Engineer as part of their DoD SkillBridge program, aimed at providing transitioning service members with valuable civilian work experience. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality of manufacturing processes by addressing non-conformities and implementing improvements on the production floor.

Key responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate issue descriptions and improvement progress to management
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines to find root causes for systemic failures
  • Lead investigations of quality issues and ensure effective corrective actions
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) and LEAN initiatives using Six Sigma tools
  • Engage in cross-functional teams for process control and optimization projects
  • Maintain knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and support QMS development
  • Address nonconformance reports and manage the Material Review Board process

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or significant relevant experience
  • Minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Familiarity with the MRB Process in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
  • Knowledge of RCCA processes and methodology
