POSITION TITLE: Division Manager - Pumps COMPENSATION: Competitive salary DOE + bonus BENEFITS: Standard package LOCATION: Houston, Texas SUMMARY: The successful candidate must possess substantial technical knowledge of pumps and rotating-equipment applications and have the engineering credibility to work effectively with plant and corporate engineers, EPC engineers, project managers, procurement organizations, pump manufacturers, and technical specialists. DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and execute the CPES strategy, target markets, customers, EPCs, and project types. Build a qualified pipeline of capital projects and establish a disciplined forecasting process. Determine staffing and resources needed to scale the business and recruit/develop the team. Expand relationships with EPCs, engineering firms, industrial companies, and corporate engineering/procurement teams. Position Progressive Pumps early in the project lifecycle, before equipment selection and RFQs. Lead development of solutions involving pumps, rotating equipment, engineered packages, upgrades, controls, installation, commissioning, and aftermarket support. Provide technical leadership and credibility with customers, engineers, and EPCs. Lead major project pursuits from identification through award. Develop pursuit strategies, proposals, and negotiate key opportunities. Manage margins, contractual risk, payment terms, project execution, pipeline, and forecastingEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years of progressively responsible experience involving pumps, rotating equipment, and industrial Capital Projects. Knowledge of Pump manufacturers Experience in EPC firms and developing business with both industrial end users Industrial pump distributors with significant Capital Project capabilities Knowledge Rotating-equipment engineering Experience in Capital Project organizations serving refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, water, or other processing industries The successful candidate must bring an established network of relationships with EPC firms and industrial companies at both the plant and corporate levels. Relationships to decision makers and early visibility into Capital Projects, equipment selection, specifications, and procurement.
