Overview

The Distribution Center Team Member at Tractor Supply Company is responsible for tasks related to receiving, selecting, and shipping store inventory. This entry-level position requires attention to detail and adherence to company safety and productivity standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, directing merchandise to appropriate areas
  • Check inventory against bills of lading and packing slips
  • Identify, label, and palletize merchandise as needed
  • Process UPS inbound shipments and prepare orders for shipment
  • Conduct cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards

Required skills

  • 0-2 years of experience in a distribution center
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds continuously
  • Basic math skills and ability to count accurately
  • Familiarity with RF terminals and barcode scanners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely
