Overview

The Distribution Center Team Member at Tractor Supply Company is responsible for tasks related to receiving, selecting, and shipping store inventory. This entry-level position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and productivity as the team member handles various materials and equipment in a distribution center environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments
  • Check inventory against bills of lading and packing slips
  • Identify, label, and palletize merchandise
  • Process UPS and supply orders
  • Perform cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Move merchandise and verify order accuracy
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

Required skills

  • 0-2 years of experience in a distribution center
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand basic English
  • Knowledge of RF terminals and barcode scanners
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
